Toshiro Mifune."Mifune had a kind of talent I had never encountered before in the Japanese film world. It was, above all, the speed with which he expressed himself that was astounding. The ordinary Japanese actor might need ten feet of film to get across an impression; Mifune needed only three." - Akira Kurosawa

A lost pomade of yesteryear: Fixina. Love the image, color and the "wavy" courier font. Made in Portugal 1944.Translation:
"It makes your hair shiny and your style stay put
Fixina's new formula, created in 1944, makes your hair shiny and your style stay put, without drying it. Demand Fixina 1944.
Fixina, the hair styler of distinguished people."
Joey Strummer from the "only band that matters." The political poetic prince who stood his ground for the little man's rights. Standing strong as an advocate against: police brutality, social rot, nazism and racism he stood tall amongst a crowd of cowards. The voice, guitar & jams that struck us with a thunderbolt of lightening.Never Forget.
Mid 80's we were all about avant-garde hair-do's & hair don'ts. Fashion was day-glo and music was clashing from all genres. It was a very pinnical era for those like myself coming of age in the midst of the carnival. One city stood at the forefront as the jump off point for everything that "was to be" caught my attention. This city spoke volumes to the youth, it squeezed your attention and would not let go.
In 2008, we had the privilege to move to city of ALL cities. We were there to: live, explore, eat and absorb. To be "inspired" is the best description. The city exceeded all of my expectations from my youth and it set the bar for a life words can not describe.
Grant's Golden Brand manifested itself in a brownstone in downtown Manhattan.
God Bless New York City.
Stay Golden.
